NIO Capital led the $39 million financing round of ClearMotion, a leading software-defined chassis company. The financing will be used for a planned 2024 launch of ClearMotion's CM1 technology, with plans to expand globally. CM1 is ClearMotion's patented high-bandwidth active suspension technology that cancels unwanted motion in the car.

Auto Spare Parts Platform Yuan Planet to Establish Circular Economy Pilot Demonstration Zone in Anhui

 

Yuan Planet, a Chinese platform offering auto spare parts, signed an investment agreement with the government of Lu'an, a city in Anhui Province, to jointly build a circular supply chain of new energy vehicles by establishing a pilot demonstration zone in the Lu'an Economic and Technological Development Zone for the national circular economy.

The industrial park, positioned as a high-end aluminum die-casting low-carbon recycling zone, will become a supporting base for the local intelligent electric vehicle industry.

The first phase of the park is scheduled to be put into operation in the first half of 2023. After the first phase is completed, the carbon emissions of vehicle aluminum die-casting products will be reduced by about 50%.

Momenta and ADIC Sign Strategic Cooperation to Empower Intelligent Driving

 

In September, autonomous driving company Momenta and Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance (China) Company Limited (ADIC) officially inked a strategic cooperation agreement. ADIC will combine its extensive experience in safe driving assessment with Momenta's self-developed in-vehicle devices and operations management platform to introduce solutions for companies to reduce traffic accidents. Both sides will work together on the basis of the advanced intelligent driving technology of Momenta to cut down traffic accidents and contribute to safer intelligent driving.

 

TrunkTech and CEVA Logistics Jointly Launch Cargo Service

 

TrunkTech, a leading autonomous truck technology company, announced a strategic cooperation agreement with CEVA Logistics, a global logistics and supply chain company. China's Ministry of Transport announced the pilot projects of intelligent transportation applications. Among the six announced projects of autonomous driving trucks for ports and trunk expressway logistics, TrunkTech participated in three, making it the enterprise with the most approved pilot projects.

Pony.ai, Caocao Mobility and Geely’s Intelligent Driving Center Jointly Build Smart Platform, Put Robotaxi in Suzhou

Pony.ai signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Caocao Mobility, a Geely-backed online ride-hailing platform, and Geely Automobile Innovation Research Institute's intelligent driving center. Pony.ai will work with the two parties to jointly build an intelligent driving operation platform and put robotaxi services into use in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province.

 

AIPARK to build intelligent parking projects in Jiangsu and Fujian

 

Smart parking solution provider AIPARK concluded an agreement with Jiangsu Mobile Information System Integration Co., Ltd. to jointly construct the urban intelligent parking system (Phase III) in Hai'an City, Jiangsu Province, to solve parking problems there.

In addition, AIPARK won the bid for the first phase of intelligent parking project in the High-tech Zone of Fuzhou City, Fujian Province to improve the overall parking system there, to effectively address parking problems and optimize the capacity of urban road traffic.

AlphaESS Launches Operations in North America

 

The U.S. subsidiary of energy storage solution provider AlphaESS was officially inaugurated in September. Lin Dong, the assistant to AlphaESS president, said the opening in the U.S. represents another milestone in the company's worldwide development. Lin added that the residential energy storage system, SMILE-SP, which was created to meet the demand of the American market, has been chosen by many customers in the local market.

 

YKC Charging Partners with Xpeng Motors and Green Huilian

 

YKC Charging, which runs the second-largest charging platform in China, has established cooperative relationship with Xpeng Motors to help this leading Chinese electric vehicle company to expand its charging network throughout China.

YKC has signed a deal with Green Huilian, a provider of green transportation and intelligent vehicle networking platforms. With more than 270,000 high-quality energy replenishment terminals, YKC shares resources with "Smart Charging", the charging platform for logistics companies of Green Huilian, to help the latter's clients recharge their new energy vehicles smartly and digitally.
