July 22, 2019 – The Shanghai Stock Exchange Science and Technology Innovation Board (STAR Market) officially opened for trading, with 25 companies making their market debuts. Among the first batch of companies to list on the new board is the NIO Capital-backed Ningbo Ronbay Lithium Battery Material Co., Ltd. (hereinafter Ronbay Technology; ticker symbol 688005).

Established in September 2014, Ronbay is a tech company with a focus on lithium battery anode materials and their precursors. Ronbay has made successive breakthroughs on a number of key technologies regarding ternary anode materials for power batteries and holds 60 internationally leading patents both at home and abroad. In 2016, Ronbay Technology took the lead in achieving breakthroughs in key technological processes for high-nickel ternary anode materials and became the first Chinese anode materials company to mass produce high-nickel NCM811 in 2017.
